Overview:
This support article explains the process of using secondary devices for scoring games. If required, secondary devices can be used when scoring a game, but it is important that only one device can be the primary scorer and have scores sync to Playhq.com or PlayCricket app.
Become a Secondary Scorer
To become the secondary scorer for a game, setup the session and select the game.
If the game is already being scored on another device, you will be prompted to either take the game over as the primary scorer or become the secondary scorer. In this instance you will choose to become the secondary scorer, as you don't want to take over the scoring.
As the secondary scorer, you can now score the game. No events from this secondary device will sync back to PlayHQ.com or the PlayCricket app. If at any point you’d like to become the primary scorer, you can do so by selecting Options > Change Scoring Status. This will prompt the device takeover option.
IMPORTANT:
- If a secondary device takes over the primary device the game’s score will always begin from where the primary device was last connected to the internet.
- The secondary scorer will not be able to upload or sync data to PlayCricket or PlayHQ, only the Primary Scorer will be able to do this.
